Profile: Scott Wallace
My family has been involved in motor sport for over 25 years. My father previously raced in this class of racing with great success, and my brother and I became involved in racing around ten years ago. We started with mini bikes, progressed to trail riding and moved on to Motocross with some success.
Two years ago, along with my brother, I decided to move into the fastest developing, and exciting class of motorsport in speedway racing, the Formula 500’s. We started with second hand machinery to develop our skills, and found out quite quickly that we were competing with the top echelon of the sport, even though the technology of the cars we were using was outdated.
At that time we, as a family, decided to update to the latest technology machinery this year, to put us on an equal footing with others at the top end of the sport. We have done that and intend this year to compete at the highest level of the sport in this country.

The motor I am choosing to run this season will be a Yamaha R6 race engine tuned by the country’s leading engine builder, Stephen Bell of Jettco Developments. I have decided to choose this combination of car and engine as it is the current motor of choice of the other top teams in Australia and is already a proven title winning motor.
Where we race
For the upcoming season I intend competing at the majority of scheduled events around NSW and some title meetings interstate. Tracks we will race regularly at will be
